WhereArt.Works presents
In Absence, Presence
CONDUCTOR Art Fair
Powerhouse Arts, Brooklyn
April 30 – May 4, 2026
Memory is not storage. It is a practice — repeated, revised, worn into the body like fabric softened by use.
AlBokhari works in the space between what is kept and what dissolves. Sun-exposed cloth. Velvet that holds light like skin holds warmth. Photographs that arrive already nostalgic, already leaving.
Latifa AlBokhari (b. 1994) is a Saudi multidisciplinary artist and curator working across photographic practices, installation, and textile. Her practice documents the complexities of memory and nostalgia, building a perspective which redefines what it means to belong.
Having spent a large part of her life abroad, AlBokhari's bicultural experience underwrites how she sees and engages with the world — how she understands belonging, and where she seeks to build community.
AlBokhari has been awarded the Kingdom Photography Award (2024) and has exhibited across the Middle East, Europe, and the United States.
